Well, today we received another 6-8 inches of snow in the Blanchard area. I went outside and it was pretty deep! Brent had to leave for work today at 6:30 a.m. and he made it there safe and sound, thank goodness. Along with all the snow, today is me and Brent's three year anniversary :-) I cannot believe that three years has actually passed but here we are! It is amazing how much stronger, closer, and respectful a relationship becomes over time and I believe that our marriage is aways morphing into something greater and bigger as the time passes. We are going out on Saturday to celebrate our anniversary as well as Valentine's Day so I am really looking forward to that! Hopefully we will get to enjoy the upcoming sunshine and have some pictures to share.
Stay warm :-) Melissa

Chocolate Festival 2011
This morning we went to the Chocolate Festival on campus to support the Fire House Arts Center. Tickets were $20 a piece so we thought it would be a fun opportunity to donate and get to eat some chocolate at the same time :-) We each got to pick out 10 samples and basically all the bakeries, catering companies, and many restaurants from the Norman area were there to choose from. Besides standing in line for 45 minutes it ended up being a ton of fun BUT! we did find out that there are some VERY serious chocolate lovers out there lol Here are some pics of our chocolate and of ourselves haha! <3 Melissa

Snow Days!!!
Wow! We have currently been locked in the house for 3 days now due to the massive snow store that came through late Monday night and Tuesday. It has been nice to stay at home all week, but I think I am ready to get back to the real world. I hope we still get to go to the Chocolate Festival on Saturday! We got bored and went outside and took some pics of the puppies enjoying the snow. I think they were having a blast! What do you think? :-) Melissa

Breakfast Veggie Casserole..TASTY!!!
Made something different for breakfast this moring and it was very tasty according to Brent so here is the recipe:
Heat over to 400 degrees
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Mix 2 lg. eggs and 2 egg whites in bowl, I added green peppers, mushrooms, and yellow onion finely chopped (you could do a variety of vegtables and add ham or bacon if you wanted), salt and pepper and 2 Tbsp of low-fat cheese in bowl.
Spray (2) ramekins with cooking spray and then cut two circles of bread out of whole wheat bread and place in the bottom of the ramekin. Distribute mixture into ramekins evenly and place in oven for 20 minutes.
I hope you enjoy! Melissa :-)

Wow! Did 2010 Already Come and Go? Welcome 2011!
Hello!
We decided to start a blog this year! I am a couple of day's behind but here we go! :-)
I cannot believe that 2011 is here! The older I get the quicker time flys! Brent and I have so many things that happened in 2010 to be thankful for, I just do not know if 2011 can top it but we are going to try! I have a few New Year resolutions that I am going to work on so hopefully....I can be successful at them.
1.) Improve my health (hopefully get Brent in on the action as well)
---first action starting tomorrow...give up Diet D.P. :-/
2.) Spend more time with friends and family
3.) Save more money!
I hope everyone had a safe and happy New Year's! I look forward to sharing some of our family adventures with you!
